On Friday, Ukrainian authorities warned that Russia will step up shelling of liberated parts of the city of Kherson.
This was a particularly deadly attack that struck Saturday morning, early in the holiday season, in central Kherson, the same city that Ukraine recaptured from Russian occupation in mid-November.
President Zelensky’s office has released a series of screenshots showing what happened next.
In his telegram, the Ukrainian president said the attack was not a war according to the established rules, but “killings for intimidation and entertainment”.
Interestingly, the Ukrainian president managed to secure the Patriot missile system and a more advanced air defense system during his historic trip to Washington.
