NEW YORK – A raging fire in a Bronx complex surprised residents early Monday, injuring several.
The incident was reported after 12 a.m. Monday at a complex on East 140th St., in the Mott Haven sector, according to authorities.
The fire left at least eight people injured, including at least three firefighters. Four of these were taken to the hospital and the others refused to receive medical attention.
One of the residents suffered serious burns after the fact.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
