Terrifier 2, “the film that traumatized America”

But where does this come from? Terrifying 2 ? Where is the first? wonders the niche audience, and even the badger’s den audience, that this horror film is aimed at. The explanation is simple. Terrifying 1 it was not released in theaters. It’s understandable: it’s really horrible. If you are sensitive, don’t read on, you will have nightmares.

The action is not surprising that it takes place on Halloween night. A clown who has never been to the dentist, focuses on the young girls he tries to torture before disfiguring them. Heartbreaking example: he hangs young Alba by her feet, alive with her, and cuts her in two with a rusty saw starting from her groin.

Just a cruel clown

The clown, Art, ends up committing suicide with a bullet to the head. But we are in the paranormal: he is coming back to life! Hence the reappearance of him in Terrifying 2which has an almost identical setting, a larger budget (a donation from the Chicago Slaughterhouse Union?), and a television station. It cannot be denied that the clown is particularly successful, the director Daniel Leone (nothing to do with Sergio) comes from the wonderful world of horror makeup.

The only point of view is aesthetic (if you like blood painted walls à la Jackson Pollock and raw pudding). The clown has no reason, no message (he’s mute), no excuse for having been rocked against a wall in the family butcher’s shop. He’s just cruel.

There are reports of fainting and even vomiting in American cinemas. For my part, I became a vegetarian and will never set foot in a circus again.
