Kottakkall: People left their homes in a panic after hearing a terrible sound from underground. The incident occurred in the areas of Amapara Chinakkal, Chenguvetti, Swagatamad, Palathara, Ampalavattam, Clari, Kozhichena, Kozhur and Cherussola in the Kottakal region.
On Tuesday evening at ten and at 10.05 there was a roar. Locals got scared when the noise occurred twice.
This was followed by a higher pitched voice again. At first the locals thought it was lightning. Some people are said to have felt bruises on their bodies and in places their houses were cracked. Many people came out of their homes thinking that the earth was shaking.
