A fatal car accident occurred at 9:00 a.m. today (1st) in the East District of Tainan City. A combined vehicle collided with a locomotive while passing through the second section of Beimen Road. Immediately commanded the driver of the linked vehicle to back up for rescue, but the female rider lost signs of life when she was rescued, and was still seriously injured after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. The exact cause of the accident remains to be investigated and clarified.
The Tainan City Fire Department received a report at 9:00 a.m. today that a serious car accident had occurred at the intersection of the second section of Beimen Road and Gongyuan South Road in the East District. The police arrived and found an 87-year-old female rider surnamed Gan trapped under the vehicle. Swelling, open fractures of both legs, no signs of life, died after being sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, and will be handed over to the police for investigation.

According to the preliminary investigation by the police, at the time of the incident, a 41-year-old man surnamed Lin was driving a combined car from Gongyuan South Road to turn left to Beimen Road.
