Military firefighters from the Bistrița Detachment and a crew of the County Ambulance Service intervened in an accident in Bistrița, on Calea Moldovei, at the Ozana Gas Station.
A car driven by a woman who had consumed alcohol was destroyed after it left the road and ended up in a gas station, stopping in a fuel pump, which she destroyed.
Two people were involved in the accident that happened on Sunday close to 11:00 p.m.
“The two victims, a 34-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, both with fractures in the lower limbs, were transported to UPU SMURD Bistrița for additional medical investigations,” ISU Bistrița-Năsăud reported .
“Police officers of the Road Bureau intervened in a road accident, which occurred in the area of a peco station in the municipality of Bistrița and resulted in the injury of two people. According to the first checks carried out on the spot, a 41-year-old woman from Bistrita Bârgăului, while driving a car, lost control of the direction and collided with a fuel pump from the gas station. As a result of the accident, the driver and a passenger were injured and transported to the hospital. The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, and the indicated result was 0.66 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. In the case, a criminal file was drawn up, and the investigations are being continued by the Road Bureau, to be determined the cause and the exact circumstances in which the accident took place”, stated the County Police Inspectorate.
