Terraria Community Gives Developer ‘Permission’ to Delay 1.4.5 Update

The Terraria community has given the game developer “permission” to delay the release of the next update. This time, developer Redigit asked its community whether it should delay the 1.4.5 update, speed up the timeline, or scrap the whole thing and create a new game. The community voted overwhelmingly for the first option.

Redigit and his team will take all the time necessary to make the Terraria 1.4.5 update the best it can be. However, the fact that more than 23% of the 26,366 votes called for the developer to cancel everything and create a new game is an intriguing twist.

The least voted option was one that asked the team to hurry up and move quickly to the next update.

Terraria has been around for 12 years and continues to be updated, although the author has stated several times that the upcoming update will actually be the last. However, each time the team repeats its steps and discovers new content.

The reason is very simple. As Redigit also points out, Terraria continues to sell well, and so the team should continue to support the game.
