“Terra Amara”: Canale 5’s Most Beloved Turkish Soap Opera to End in 2024

Farewell to Canale 5’s most popular soap opera: spectators in tears after the previews of the grand finale of the fiction.

If the public broadcaster has been making use of the productions produced by the parallel agency Rai Fiction for years, Mediaset it has invested monumental resources for the acquisition of international TV series, as in the case of the long-lived “Beautiful”, now on air since 1994, after four years on Rai2.

The Forrester saga seems destined to continue for a long time, unlike the protagonists of “Bitter land“, who will not enjoy an equally long-lived destiny.

The beloved Turkish series has been animating since 2022 the Canale 5 daytime and, now in its second season, has already captivated millions of viewers, scoring share peaks of 26% for the Alfa flagship.

According to the latest rumors, however, “Terra amara” will continue for only two other editions, e its programming will end in 2024, with the fourth and final season of the drama soap opera. The public will therefore have to prepare to definitively say goodbye to the protagonists Zuleyha, Demir e Yilmaz. Furthermore, the producers of the Middle Eastern fiction have foreseen juicy twists before the grand finale, seasoned with new loves and enormous tragedies awaiting the main characters.

In the final season of the fiction, the inhabitants of Cukurova will have to face new obstacles and vicissitudes, starting from the beautiful Zuleyha. After numerous sufferings, the protagonist of “Terra amara” will finally greet the arrival of a new love, which will appear in the guise of That’s ita wealthy entrepreneur.

He will even make a marriage proposal but, according to Turkish bookmakers, the romantic fairy tale will not enjoy a happy ending. As for the fate of Demir, after a prolonged mystery about his disappearance, in the last episodes of the fourth series his body will finally be found and, with its discovery, the curtain will finally fall on Cukurova and its picturesque population. A low blow for those who were still hoping for a happy ending, but which could give rise to any spin-offs…

In the meantime, the top management of Mediaset have increased the Canale 5 summer schedulein order to offer viewers new poles of generalist entertainment.

The spearhead of the summer will be represented by return of “Temptation Island”, after years of hiding from the schedule. Filippo Bisciglia will take the helm of the program again, and will accompany the new protagonists in their “journey through emotions“. According to television expert Amedeo Venza, among the ranks of tempters some well-known faces of “Men and Women” may appear; far from remote eventuality, considering that both formats are produced by Maria De Filippi’s “Fascino PGT”, with the collaboration of “Ambra Banijay Italia”.
