Jakarta –
Gesits is one of the electric motorbikes that has received government assistance. But not all people can get Gesits electric motorbikes at subsidized prices. What are the conditions that must be brought to the dealer?
Main Director of WIMA, Bernardi Djumiril, said that the government assistance was beneficial for both producers and consumers. Because the price of electric motorbikes is increasingly affordable.
“Of course, we welcome support from the Government in the context of accelerating electric vehicles in Indonesia. This policy does not only help electric vehicle manufacturers, but the public as consumers also feel helped because they can get electric vehicles at more affordable prices, and also provide encouragement positive for the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia,” said Bernardi Djumiril as Main Director of WIMA in his statement to detikcom.
Currently, Gesits has not yet announced how much the quota of 200,000 units of the total government-subsidized electric motorbikes will be.
It should be noted that government assistance for purchasing Gesits electric motorbikes with subsidies is only intended for certain circles. Currently, Gesits dealers have not provided subsidized prices for electric motorbikes, because the implementation of this incentive will only take effect on March 20, 2023.
“Regarding incentives, it is possible that on March 20 it will only be realized and KTP and NPWP are needed to validate the data intended for MSMEs and BLT recipients,” said GESITS dealer customer service when contacted by detik.com.
However, it is certain that the price of subsidized electric motorbikes may not increase until December 2023. Gesits G1 is marketed at IDR 28,970,000 and GESITS Raya at IDR 27,990,000 (OTR Jakarta). Later the price will only need to be cut by a subsidy from the government of IDR 7 million.
“Yes, that’s right (the OTR price just reduces the subsidy),” he explained.
As previously reported by detikcom, the government through the Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) of the Ministry of Finance, Febrio Kacaribu, has explained the requirements for receiving subsidies for electric motorcycles of IDR 7 million. This time, government assistance is prioritized for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
“The government’s target is to prioritize MSMEs, especially recipients of KUR, BPUM, and also include 450-900 VA electricity customers. This is intended so that the use of electric motors can boost the productivity and business of MSME players,” said Febrio.
Gesits electric motors are currently produced by PT WIKA Industri Manufaktur (WIMA) with a domestic content level (TKDN) reaching 46.73 percent.
WIMA said that currently GESITS already has TKDN of 46.73 percent. Gesits admits that they are ready to provide units according to consumer demand, currently GESITS already has more than 70 dealer networks spread throughout Indonesia.
