Tereza Černochová’s new album is called Slečna černáčná. It proves that the singer of the Monkey Business group, also known from the StarDance competition, can compose music and write lyrics herself. After two previous solo recordings, the new release is fully original, with only a partial share of producer Roman Holé.
The often self-ironic texts deal with, among other things, the role of women in today’s world. Apart from songs like diskopizda or Pan the album also has a more serious position thanks to the songs Women’s faces whether For my daughtersays the author.
“I think that the first album Small Monstrosities was such a springboard, if I should even sing solo on it,” the forty-year-old Černochová looks back on the 2007 recording today.

Eight years later, she followed it up with the album Skrábnuti. “This captures my dark period. The third Miss proves that I am here, I am standing on a solid foundation and I know a little about who I am and what I really want,” sums up the daughter of singer and composer Karel Černoch. He will commemorate his short-lived eightieth birthday on October 12 with four concerts with guests.
The album Slečna demanding announced the provocative single a Panev video clip, which was directed by Zbyněk Rauser and where Barbora Poláková is a guest. In its conclusion, actor Marek Daniel eats sushi from the singer’s body.
Černochová was inspired by Jiří Menzel’s film I Served the English King. “Visually, I liked the scene in which the guys are sitting around a table, on which a half-naked girl is turning between meals. It’s not about sex, but a certain way of eating, which is said to be popular in Japan,” Černochová describes.

“I took it to the director Rauser, who warned me that it wasn’t enough for the entire clip, which had to have a story. In the end, we came up with Marko Daniel, who has something cheeky about him and can be a total nerd at the same time,” she adds.
The singer of the band Monkey Business is a native of Prague since 2017, when she replaced Tonya Graves. She recorded the album Slečna demanding with other musicians, but in addition to Holé, she also collaborated with the singer Matěj Ruppert from her home band. “In the case of Matěj, I was already a little embarrassed towards him, I have two solo records and he is not on either of them. I think he was also sorry, so I told Roman Holé to come up with something. So Matěj flashes on the record, ” he notes.
Černochová is not planning a baptism or a separate concert line on the occasion of the release. “These are time-consuming things and I don’t have the capacity for it, because I’m on stage with Monkey Business and now I’m preparing concerts for my dad. I don’t feel the need to go on tour, I don’t need to sing solo on stage. I’m not saying it will never happen, but it takes some a team and a manager who will take care of it,” he states.
The series of Karel Černoch 80 concerts will start on October 10 in the Aldis Congress Center in Hradec Králové and will continue on October 11 in the Gong multifunctional hall in Ostrava and on October 13 in the Vodova hall in Brno. The final evening will take place in the Prague Congress Center on November 1. Accompanied by the B-Side Band of producer Josef Buchta, the guests sing the most famous songs from Černoch’s repertoire such as The ferryman’s lament, She fights back or Mirror.
The black man died in 2007 at the age of 64. “Dad left too soon. I remember his songs and velvety voice almost every day. He was unique. And that’s why I would like to remember him together with the guests who worked with him, were friends with him or were inspired by him,” adds Tereza Černochová, who, in addition to singing, will be in the evening accompany
