A series of explosions took place in Kharkov around 23:00 on February 7. Residents of the city in social networks note that there have not been so many strikes on the city at the same time for a long time – almost since the summer of 2022. According to preliminary information from the head of the Kharkov military garrison, Sergei Melnik, the Russian army fired S-300 missiles at Kharkov from the territory of the Belgorod region. Videos of rocket launches were actively published by Belgorod publics.
The head of the HOVA, Oleg Sinegubov, said that six to ten rockets hit the city, and the center of Kharkov was damaged. Later, Mayor Igor Terekhov confirmed six “arrivals”, including one at an industrial facility in the Kiev region. A fire started at the site of one of the strikes.
