Teradyne, Inc., today announces the new president of Universal Robots, which it owns. Danish native Kim Povlsen will lead growth and innovation in Universal Robots, a world leader in the manufacture of collaborative robots has made it possible for many companies.
His appointment reinforces Teradyne’s commitment to Universal Robots’ Danish origin and its role in developing the local robotics community. Kim begins her new role at Universal Robots on March 1, 2021.

Kim has held various executive and business leadership roles at Schneider Electric, a global energy management and automation company. Most recently, he was Vice President of Technology Strategy and Systems, responsible for technology strategy and execution within a multi-million dollar global organization.
Kim lives in Aarhus (Denmark) and has a Master’s degree in Integrated Electronic Engineering from the University of Southern Denmark. The University’s graduates include many of the innovators and business leaders from Odense’s renowned robotics community.
