Tequila event cancelled in Jalisco after explosion in José Cuervo

Puerto Vallarta, Jal. The Tequila Day event was cancelled on Wednesday, the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry (CNIT) reported.

The event was scheduled by the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry, but due to the events recorded this Tuesday at the José Cuervo company, in the municipality of Tequila, which left at least five dead and two injured, it was decided to cancel it.

“We would like to inform you that the press conference and other activities related to the Tequila Day Celebration are cancelled. This is because the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry will be attentive to what may be required in relation to the regrettable events reported this afternoon by the press,” the CNIT reported last night.

This Wednesday, as part of the commemoration of Tequila Day, the presentation of the commemorative bottle of this important celebration was planned.

The event will be headed by the president of the National Chamber of the Tequila Industry, Roberto Ciprés Cruces, as well as by the president of the National Agricultural Council, Juan Cortina Gallardo and special guests.
