TEPJF plans to declare unfounded petition to nullify presidential election

Mexico City. The Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) is planning to declare the request to declare the presidential election null and void unfounded. It points out, among other elements, that the statements made by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in the morning press conferences did not affect the June 2 election.

“It is not possible to prove the systematic and withdrawn intervention of the Federal Executive because they refer to isolated events that, given the magnitude of citizen participation, do not affect the election,” states the project prepared by magistrates Felipe de la Mata and Felipe Fuentes, members of the special commission that analyzed the general judgments against the presidential election.

In particular, it is proposed to dismiss the lawsuit of Xóchitl Gálvez, former candidate of the PAN, PRI, PRD bloc, for lacking legal interest.

The allegations of the dissidents and the opposition are also annulled, one by one, such as the alleged influence, in the electoral process, of elements such as generalized violence, intervention of unions, public servants, improper use of social programs, coercion and vote buying, improper actions of the INE, improper composition of the Superior Chamber, intervention of the president of the INE, acquisition of time on radio and television and nullification of votes received at the polling stations.
