Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL) published by a photo with engravings of the Stanley Cup, which also includes the name of Teodor Blüger.
In order for Blüger’s name to be engraved on the Stanley Cup, he had to play at least one game in the Finals or can do so at the request of the team. The player’s father stated that the “Golden Knights” have submitted a list of additional persons whose names will be engraved on the cup, and the Latvian hockey player is also included in it.
The “Golden Knights” played in the finals for the second time in their six-year history, losing to the Washington “Capitals” 1-4 in the Stanley Cup finals in the first round of the debut season in 2018.
It has already been announced that on July 1, the Vancouver “Canucks” announced the conclusion of a contract with Blüger. The contract was signed for one year for 1.9 million dollars, after its end the Latvian will be able to become a free agent.
