Army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a press conference, “The army is on alert for defense and attack. We are prepared for all scenarios,” without commenting directly on Al-Arouri’s killing.

Commenting on a journalist’s question about Al-Arouri’s killing, he explained that the Israeli army’s focus is on defeating Hamas.

The prominent Hamas leader was assassinated by an Israeli air strike, yesterday, Tuesday, that targeted the movement’s office in the southern suburb of Beirut, according to what Hamas and a Lebanese security source announced.
