Tensions escalated in the National Assembly after 10 pm, after protesters followed Vazrazhdane deputies as they left the National Assembly building. Hours after the protest began, party lawmakers stood in the parliament building, with protesters waiting outside.
The party group came out of the back entrance together. Some of those gathered around the National Assembly marched among them, throwing bottles at them. Several arrests and disputes ensued.
However, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov did not come out with his colleagues from the parliamentary group.
