The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the possible sale on Tuesday (12/21/2021).
“The proposed sale will help Lithuania build its long-term defense capacity to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity to meet its national defense requirements,” he said.
Although approved by the US State Department, the notification does not indicate a single contract has been signed or that negotiations have concluded.
