The United States has threatened Iran with “serious consequences” if it decides to supply missiles to Russia.

Washington is in contact with its European allies about information that Iran plans to “deliver hundreds of ballistic missiles to Russia,” US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said.
“We are ready to react quickly and decisively if Iran commits to the transfer of ballistic missiles, which we believe would constitute a serious escalation of Iran’s support for Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine,” he added.
Looking for additional weapons for its war against Ukraine, Moscow has turned to countries under sanctions, including North Korea.
The United States has already imposed sanctions on Iranian drone manufacturers whose products have been supplied to Russia.
