The MPs from Democratic Bulgaria Antoaneta Tsoneva and Ivaylo Mirchev joined the calls for the recall of the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova.
Earlier today, diplomat Stefan Tafrov said Mitrofanova should be declared a persona non grata.
“Russia’s Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova issued a reckless address on March 3. “The most severe sanction in diplomacy must be applied to it – it must be revoked,” Tsoneva said in an interview with the Dobrudja media group.
Ivaylo Mirchev announced in his Facebook post: “It is time for the Russian ambassador to be politely asked to leave the country.”
The two deputies visited the border crossing in Durankulak and hotels in Balchik, where refugees are accommodated. They found that there are many problems that the state needs to address.
“Poland has accepted half a million people, and our country 16,000. At this stage, we are not doing well. Our goal is to correct it. The state must take over its functions and that is why we wanted a conversation and first-hand information, “Mirchev said.
