Georgia

Excellence of the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, for the challenger, Joe Biden, in the state Georgia is getting smaller. Currently, 96 percent of the votes have been observed and Trump is reportedly only 18,500 votes ahead of Biden.

As reported CNNThursday (5/11/2020), the narrowing of the vote difference between Trump and Biden occurred after the addition of votes from Fulton County – the largest district in Georgia on Thursday (5/11) morning US time. It said Fulton County had just reported an additional 8,000 votes.

The difference in votes between Trump and Biden in Georgia, from 30,000 votes on Wednesday (4/11) at midnight US time, has now shrunk to only around 18,500 votes.

Latest accounting data CNN shows that with 96 percent of the votes cast, Trump narrowly leads Georgia with 49.6 percent (2,431,724 votes) against Biden with 49.2 percent (2,413,184 votes). The difference between the two reaches 18,540 votes to be precise.

Last night, Fulton County had 20 thousand absentee ballots that must be counted. So far only 8,251 votes have been counted and reported, with Biden picking up 6,410 of them and Trump picking up just 1,941 votes.

Electoral officials in Georgia’s districts processed and counted the votes throughout the night and are still continuing today. There is still 4 percent of the vote in Georgia to count.

The provisional position shows Biden winning with 264 electoral votes over Trump, who just won 214 electoral votes. It takes 270 electoral votes – out of a total of 538 electoral votes – to win the US presidential election.
