Jeonbuk and Pohang, the two teams that recently caused controversy over ‘player replacement’ and even ‘forfeit loss’, reached the FA Cup finals side by side, resulting in an ironically fateful match within a week.
It is even more interesting because it is a game where qualification for the Asian Champions League is at stake.

Jeonbuk took the lead in the FA Cup semifinals with Moon Seon-min’s opening goal.
Baek Seung-ho scored the winning goal and advanced to the finals for the second year in a row.

Pohang smiled after a close penalty shootout in the semifinals against Jeju.
A dramatic victory was achieved thanks to the opponent’s miss and Hwang In-jae’s save, and an ironic final matchup with Jeonbuk was concluded.

It’s been 10 years since the two teams faced each other in the FA Cup final, but the real bad blood occurred in last weekend’s league match.
Pohang’s substitution mistake and the referee’s inexperience led to a skit in which 12 Pohang players played for about 6 minutes.
Jeonbuk insisted that Pohang forfeit the game, saying it was a violation of the regulations, and Pohang is fighting back, saying it was a refereeing mistake.
Jeonbuk and Pohang are engaged in a tense war of nerves over whether to forfeit the loss.
In addition, if they win, they can secure a spot in next season’s Asian Champions League, so attention is focused on the FA Cup final to be held the day after tomorrow (the 4th).
