The match between Persib vs Barito itself took place at the Bandung Lautan Api Gelora Stadium (GBLA), Sunday (13/8/2023), itself ended in a 1-1 draw.

The hot moment occurred in the 30th minute of the first round where Rahmad Darmawan was seen arguing accompanied by certain hand movements while approaching the Persib bench.

The former Sriwijaya FC coach was also seen pointing at Luizinho Passos while throwing words. Rahmad had to be separated by the assistant referee and coaching staff Barito.
Even the head coach of Persib, Bojan Hodak, was seen to be involved in the hot tension so that the coaching staff and the Blue Prince players had to be separated.
As a result of the commotion, Luizinho Passos and Rahmad Darmawan both received yellow cards from the referee.
However, Rahmad Darmawan has apologized for the incident. Rahmad Darmawan emphasized that he did not have any intention, but only wanted to remind the coaches, including himself, to respect the performance of the referees.
“So I don’t mean anything but want to remind. I want foreign coaches to come here to provide education, one positive thing for us to emulate, set an example, instead of being a conductor to control what we want,” he said.

However, Rahmad Darmawan believed that the incident was a misunderstanding and he received a yellow card.
“But for me it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that I apologize to my friends who are here who saw what happened earlier (in the field),” said Rahmad Darmawan.
