In recent months, the British and Russian militaries have been involved in showings of strength in a number of hot spots, including in the waters of the Black Sea.
The news of the new tension was revealed by the Russian Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) as quoted by Interfax on Saturday (11/13/2021).

“Two Tu-160 long-range strategic missile carrier aircraft carried out scheduled flights in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Barents Sea, Norway and the North Sea,” the Ministry of Defense was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying.

“Russia’s strategic missile carrier is escorted by Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets of the British Air Force at several stages of the route,” the ministry said.

Tensions between Russia and Western countries as well as NATO have risen in recent months.
