The Czech Marketa Vondrousova advanced to the second round of the Angers tournament by winning two sets to zero (6-1, 7-6 [5]) against the Belgian Yanina Wickmayer on Monday in the middle of the day, at the Loire de Trélazé Arena.
Vondrousova, 97th player in the world in the WTA, will face the winner of the upcoming match between qualifier Joanna Garland and Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, seed number 7 in the second round of the Loire tournament.
