Jannik Sinner is in the semifinals at the ATP 250 in Sofia (fast indoor). The 19 year old South Tyrolean from Sesto Pusteria, 44 Atp beat Alex De Minaur in a comeback in the 3rd third set 6-7 6-4 6-1. The two had crossed paths for the first time last year in the final of the Next Gen in Milan. Jannik, who arrived at PalaLido with a wild card had won the title against Damon.

A complicated beginning for Jannik who did not seem to find rhythm and measures. Too many mistakes with the forehand allowed the Australian to carry on a set to zero. But as soon as De Minaur slowed down a bit, Sinner regained his confidence growing game after game until the break of the ninth game and the closing 6-4. Third set with a burning start of the South Tyrolean who immediately leads 4-0, then closes easy 6-1. Now he will face Mannarino.
