Tennis has been around for several hundred years, but as we know and play it today, this sport has only been around for 150 years. For museum beginners, this is reason enough to relive the rapid development through a journey through time. This is not least because Klosters has a great tradition in tennis and is now known worldwide through its many international tournaments.
A lot to discover
In addition to immersing yourself in the history of the sport in Hinterpättigau, there is much to see in the museum, which is open every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm: For example, tennis rackets are developed with a comprehensive display of rackets from the period from 1880 to the present day are shown. The rackets on display from famous players such as John McEnroe and Arthur Ashe bring some stardust. Curiosity is also presented in the form of alien rackets that they did not catch. The offer is rounded off with a display of related items such as balls, racket presses, stringing and ball throwing machines, books, stamps and much more. The only thing missing is that Roger Federer visits the new museum. More information about the museum can be found at www.tennisklosters.ch/anlagen/museum.
