Tennis legend doubts Roger Federer’s successful return

Tennis fans are quite excited about Roger Federer’s return at the 2021 Qatar Open next week. The Swiss master will return after almost 14 months on the court and it will be intriguing to watch him play.

However, experts doubt whether or not he will be able to make a convincing return to the sport. Recently, tennis legend Tim Henman claimed that it would not be easy for Roger Federer to make a successful comeback.

He believes that his previous level was so high that it would be difficult for him to compete with that energy. “His old level is so high that he’s not going to come back just to get the numbers back,” Henman said.

The expert stated that even though Roger Federer is trying hard for his return, it won’t be that easy. He mentioned that the legend would turn forty this August, and age would certainly act as an obstacle for him.

The 46-year-old also accepted that Federer would not return just for the numbers, but would also aim to win tournaments and majors. “He wants to compete again to win the biggest and best tournaments.

And that’s not going to get any easier as he gets closer to his 40th birthday. But he’s working incredibly hard, I’m sure, ”added the former world No. 4.

Henman stressed that Federer is the most fascinating player, according to him.

He also said that fans are lucky to witness him alongside other icons such as Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams. “For me, he [Federer es] the most fascinating player we’ve probably ever had in our sport.

Tennis is blessed with great sports and sports icons. “Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, Serena Williams, they are the biggest star you can have,” the former player continued. However, Henman believes that these legends will be retired one day, eventually.

He emphasized that it is important to enjoy them while they are playing. “But they are not going to be there forever. That’s why it’s important that we enjoy them while they’re still racing, ”Henman concluded.

No one knows when Roger Federer will say goodbye to the sport. As of now, fans want him to play as long as possible and even win a few more titles. Can Federer make an incredible comeback at ATP Doha 2021?
