This Thursday, Rafael Nadal made the terrible news official. The world tennis legend announced his retirement after the Davis Cup, all at the age of 38, and after 22 Grand Slam titles. An announcement that moved the entire planet, while Nick Kyrgios still cannot come to terms with the loss of Rafa.
A legend is gone. Two years later Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal also decided to hang up after a simply monumental career. Considered by some to be the greatest player of all time, the master of Roland-Garros announced the terrible news on his social networks.

Nadal announces his retirement
“Hello everyone. I am here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that the last two years have been difficult. I don’t think I can play anymore. If many personalities like Novak Djokovic, Kylian Mbappé or even Cristiano Ronaldo everyone congratulated the 38-year-old Spaniard, Nick Kyrgios he still can’t believe it. The day after Rafael Nadal’s announcement, the Australian said: ” Shit. I had nightmares that woke me up about Rafa. I’m going to miss them. He was someone I was preparing for. He was a motivation, I guess an inspiration. Damn, it’s true, people bring out the best in us. You were one of those people”on X.
