Tennis club has a club app – Frauenau

Digital solutions were also used for the official handover of the club app and they met virtually for a video conference in accordance with the corona. Training, tournaments or sitting together for a chat in the club house – all of this is currently not possible due to corona. Club life, which thrives on personal exchange, has been practically paralyzed for months. Nevertheless, the tennis club in Frauenau used this time to set the course for the future.

The tennis club made itself available as a model club for the “Digital Village” project and was equipped with an app tailored to the club. The Dahoam 4.0® – Association app developed by the Technologie Campus Grafenau for the TC Frauenau is now available for download in all app stores under the name “Dahoam 4.0® – Association”.

“With the club app, the Frauenau tennis club has reached the next level of the digital age,” said TC board member Christian Baumann, pleased about the new option for internal communication within the club. Because until now, large parts of the association’s communication and organization have taken place via conventional messenger services such as WhatsApp or Telegram. The problem with it: The relevant information is often distributed in countless WhatsApp groups, is therefore difficult to find, is no longer read and is questionable under data protection law.

The new app can help here. Whether it is the sale of cakes at the next tournament, the division of the hut service, the handling of seat occupancy or the scheduling for the first summer barbecue, all of this can now be organized in a single application. The Dahoam 4.0® club app supports internal club communication, enables relevant documents or photos to be exchanged and all relevant information to be accessed at any time, mobile and as required. Every important piece of news can be accessed on a daily basis on the smartphone or tablet. Regardless of whether at home, on the go or at work. Even in times like those we have to experience now, the app can at least stay connected digitally.

“The Technologie Campus Grafenau provided us with a tool which, if it is accepted by our members, can bring real added value to the work of the association,” said Patrick Zens, 2nd board member of the tennis club, thanking him for the good cooperation with the technology campus, but also made it clear that the app lives on with its use by the members.

In order to inform the TC members as well as possible about the new club app and to call them up for use, all members will receive mail in the next few days with precise instructions on how the new club app can be used. − pz
