After his performance in Metz, Hubert Hurkacz had the right to be fully satisfied. The Polish tennis player defeated the gold medalist from Tokyo, the Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta in the final, and could celebrate another ATP rank tournament in his career. Thanks to the win, he was able to move up to 12th place in the ranking of the best tennis players in the world.
In the first match of the next tournament, Hurkacz had to face Alex Bolt, a player who reached this stage thanks to qualifying. The Australian ranks 144th in the ATP ranking, so there could be only one favorite of the match, especially in view of the great form of the Pole.
