He must therefore hope that the competition “fails”. But there are around ten of them attending the Challengers in the hope of grabbing the necessary points. The planets seem to be aligning for “Lucho”. So, Mattia Bellucci100th in the world, was eliminated this Tuesday in the first round of the Challenger the Yokohama.

Fognini out of cut for now

Current 84th in the world, Fabio Fognini will lose the 100 points of his title in Valencia in November 2023. The Italian must therefore “fuel” in Montemar. Still in Spain, Damir Dzuhmur, 106th in the world, shows a final card. The Bosnian qualified for the second round. Another Italian can still overtake him. It is about Luca Nardi110 ATP, entered in Rovereto. Nardi needs the title to reach 637 points. Not easy… Lucas Pouille will also have an eye in South America. The Argentinians Francisco Comesana et Camilo Ugo Carabelli chase Australia at the Sao Paulo Challenger. But the competition is tough on Brazilian clay. Note that the local Thiago Monteiro108th in the world, can mathematically overtake Lucas Pouille if successful. But not everyone will be able to win… The Frenchman therefore finds himself in a rather favorable position.
