While some thought Roger Federer was very close to retirement, this apparently is not yet the case. According to TennisNet, the champion has already confirmed his presence at the German tournament in Halle for 2022. Japanese Kei Nishikori would also have planned his participation.
Also expected in the 2021 edition, the Swiss will aim for an 11th title, this decision would be motivated by the closed session confirmed by the organizers.
No trip to Italy for Federer
Roger Federer will skip the Foro Italico and the Internationals in Rome this year! He has already struck off the list.
Now everything seems clear: the Swiss will participate in the Madrid Masters, may’s beginning.
