The Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, seeded n°8, won two sets to nil (6-2, 7-6 [3]) against the Australian Jordan Thompson and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Dallas tournament in Dallas on Thursday evening.
Mannarino, 63rd player in the world at the ATP, will face China’s Yibing Wu in the quarter-finals of the Dallas Open.
The 34-year-old French tennis player had won against the American Steve Johnson (7-6 [6]6-2), before his qualification on Thursday against Thompson, 84th in the world at ATP.
The Australian had clearly beaten the American Denis Kudla (6-1, 7-5).
