From October 12 to 26, 101 young tennis players, girls and boys, from tennis clubs in the region, met at the municipal complex of the Parre courts to participate in the major youth tournament, open to players in categories 11 /12 years old to 17/18 years old and organized, like every year at the start of the season, by the Védasien Tennis Club.
For two weeks the matches followed one another under the leadership of a pair of referees, Carine Mottrot and Philippe Gay, giving rise, in a fine spirit of fair play, to high-level matches often taking place in front of a audience of friends and connoisseurs. At the end of these two weeks, and the winners rewarded, the club officials gave a positive assessment, who did not fail to emphasize “fortunately this year, given the weather hazards, we were able to take advantage of the indoor courts to minimize the organizational impact, so everything was able to take place without hindrance and in the best conditions”.
Next meetings, on November 11 for a ladies’ singles tournament and on November 24 a mixed doubles tournament for the benefit of men’s diseases.
