Jakarta – In the past, Tengku Firmansyah was known as a popular actor in Indonesia, but now his life has completely changed. With his family, he moved to Canada and started a new chapter as a welder in Edmonton.
Through social media, Tengku often shares his work experiences, which is apparently not that easy. In his latest post, he talked about how hard this job is.
In fact, some of his colleagues even gave up, you know. Of the nine who came in just a month ago, now only six remain.
Some who have only been working for five hours have already raised their hands because they are not strong.
“Elders say that this job is not for everyone … Bismillah, guide me, O Allah, so that I can be strong and smooth in the future,” Tengku wrote, hoping to stay strong.
Tengku now works at Edmonton Exchanger, a manufacturing and maintenance company that has been around since 1975. This company specializes in ship parts and machining services, so it’s no joke that there is the work.
Even though the work is hard, the salary for welders in Canada is quite good, you know. According to Job Bank, the Canadian Government employment site, welders can earn around IDR 235,388 to IDR 500,199 per hour. In Edmonton, where Tengku works, the average welder can take home around IDR 294,235 to IDR 529,623 per hour.
Even though the challenges are great, Tengku Firmansyah remains optimistic and hopes to continue to carry out his work smoothly.
