“Tenderness” – A Witty Romantic Comedy Full of Shakespearean References by Award-Winning Playwright Alfredo Sanzol

Tenderness is a witty romantic comedy full of Shakespearean references. Alfredo Sanzol (Max Prize and National Dramatic Literature Prize for the best author for his project “The breathing”) With this work he wanted to convey the impossibility of protecting ourselves against the damage that love produces.

If we want to love we have to risk suffering.

For the author, the show It speaks of the strength and courage to love. Tenderness is the way in which love expresses itself. Without tenderness, love is not seen. Tenderness is caresses, listening, small gestures, smiles, kisses, waiting, respect, delicacy. A society without tenderness is a society at war.

Desert islands, monumental shipwrecks, fragile kings, and dreamy queens, fearful lumberjacks and stormy shepherdesses, magical beings, impossible situations, possible loves, identity changes, unleashed passions, irrational hatreds, incendiary desires, surprising twists, drunken ghosts, apparitions, disappearances , encounters, disagreements and a desire that unites everyone: the desire to find “tenderness” however it may be, wherever it may be, with whomever it may be.
