The municipality of Deventer will issue a European tender for the Broad Start Class. This is for the integration of newcomers. A ‘market consultation’ has been started on a special website.
Meeting
In addition to the information that can be found online, there will also be a meeting for interested parties on Tuesday, October 22. Via the website of TenderNed organizations can find more information and register for the meeting.
Councilor Rob de Geest (Asylum and Integration) explains: “We want to prevent newcomers from having to wait a long time before they start their integration. That is why we have devised pre-integration in Deventer. This way, newcomers can make some preparations for their official integration. We also get to know them better, so that we know what guidance they need.”
Plan
The pre-integration program ‘Everyone on board’ will run until January 1, 2025. After that, the municipality will purchase the broad starting class ‘Starting in Deventer’. This is an improvement on the current offering.
The municipality helps those subject to integration so that they quickly feel at home in Deventer. By learning Dutch quickly, newcomers can participate better in society, for example through work or school.
