Tenant from Hell: Property Agent Shares Nightmarish Experiences in Malaysia

A house buying and selling agency or property agent reveals a series of his experiences when he got tenants of houses he called ‘from hell.’ He gave such a nickname because he said the behavior of the tenants of the house was worthy of being the inhabitants of hell.

“Tenant from hell,” the property agency wrote in its viral upload on TikTok. His video about the behavior of tenants from hell has been watched more than 50 thousand times.

When contacted by mStar, the woman who worked as a property agent for eight years revealed that she had just gotten a tenant from hell. He said that because when he visited one of the houses that he was going to rent again to someone else, the condition of the property was terrible. Garbage was scattered not only on the floor but also on tables, chairs and many other places in the house. He explained that the incident occurred in a unit he rented in Johor Baru, Johor, Malaysia.

“In this case, the tenant has no debt. It’s just that he left the house in such a state. He left the garbage to dry. Even if it’s dirty, this is still normal,” he said in confusion.

The 30-year-old woman named Tica shared her experience as a property agent. According to him this is not the first time he has got a ‘tenant from hell.

“I have dealt with worse cases. Before this, there were tenants who left their children’s diapers full of feces for a week. There were also those who ran away without paying the rent,” revealed Tica.

As long as Tica is in the field of selling or renting property, she has to get used to enduring the feeling of nausea every time she steps into troubled units. Tica said she doesn’t mind tenants who don’t want to clean the house. However, he hoped they would not leave the house in such a disgusting state.

“When you enter the house, you feel like throwing up, that’s a normal matter. But until you don’t have an appetite, you don’t want to eat. Those who leave the house have a lot of trash and stuff,” he explained, confused.

“What’s worse, someone left wet things behind. Those things have gone bad, I don’t know how long. Being trapped in a house with no windows open, is really a headache,” said Tica again.

He gave a message that if the tenant feels unable to pay or doesn’t like the house, it doesn’t need to be tidied up. But don’t bother the person who rents out the house.

“You leave your clothes, I can still accept a little bit of dry trash. Those who are disgusted make it difficult for us. Later I want to clean it up,” continued Tica emotionally.

Commenting on the public’s perception that men are more dirty, Tica has a different view.

“Three months ago, I got a bad female tenant. She left rolled rolls and wet food on the bed. Leftover food, fish bones were visible. In the past, I also met dirty single male tenants. Then there was the whole family, husband, wife and dirty children,” he continued.

Tica’s uploaded video about ‘tenants from hell’ received various comments from netizens. On average, netizens provide feedback about the irresponsible attitude of tenants.

“I can’t stop thinking about tenants who can live in that condition. I just see that they don’t feel comfortable,” said one netizen.
