Wyatt Russell, who just donned the Captain America costume in the Disney + series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, forges a very special relationship with the character of Marvel. Indeed, he first auditioned for the role of Steve Rodgers and the film Captain America : First Avenger. He was then just over 20 years old and says he mostly wanted to gauge himself.

An intriguing new Captain America
“I honestly think the first audition was more of a read, to see if I was a good actor, he describes in the show Good Morning America, relayed by Large Screen. I don’t think I competed for the role, but it was crazy. This time, I had no idea what role I was auditioning for. I just got something like, “Marvel wants you to read something”. And I knew what it was after I got the part. ” And this is how he ended up obtaining the so prestigious colorful costume of the American colors.
Unveiled at the end of the first episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, this new Captain America takes on new challenges at the heart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More exploited in the second episode, the character of Wyatt Russell wanders between the fine line of hero and anti-hero. “You will see well”, smiles the actor about the future of his character, which turns out to be for the time being one of the most intriguing of the new Disney + series.
