FC Twente an application procedure has started for the new general manager. Fardau Wagenaar and Leon ten Voorde wonder whether the club from Enschede should look for a successor for Paul van der Kraan itself.

Ten Voorde has the same feeling. “A club like FC Twente has to approach people themselves and pick them up”, he says. “But I let someone convince me and they say that they themselves have names on the list. Ten Voorde has not yet heard any names himself. “I think it is important that the person has an affinity with top sport. That does not even always have to be with football, but with top sport. Otherwise we will get people like Van der Veen and Velderman again and then you have to constantly explain why it is like this in football. There is also no football player on the Supervisory Board, so I think that affinity is important, “said the journalist.
