The Düsseldorf fire department had to respond to a fire on Torfbruchstrasse around 3 a.m. that night. When the first emergency services arrived, it was discovered that several vehicles were on fire on the premises of a car dealership.
The extinguishing attack that was initiated immediately prevented the fire from spreading further. Apparently a total of ten cars were destroyed by the fire. There was a lot of material damage, but fortunately no one was injured.
During the operation, Torfbruchstrasse was closed in the area of the fire. The fire brigade’s job was finished around 4:30 a.m., but the police have now started investigating the cause of the fire. A spokesman for the fire department was unable to provide any information about the cause of the fire, nor whether the vehicles were electric cars.
