Over this weekend and through Tuesday, the blizzard will affect areas in at least 10 states, including central and northern New York and northern New Jersey.

“Little or no snowfall is expected in New York, but more than three inches of snow could fall not far north in the Hudson Valley,” says The Weather Channel.
Among the entities concerned are also Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Missouri.
“This storm will bring snow to communities in the Midwest who have seen ice in recent days and add to the snowpack in the Northeast,” the forecast says.
This Sunday, several regions will face a build-up of snow, but in the metropolitan areas of New York and New Jersey, only rain and low temperatures are expected.
“On Sunday, the snow is expected to spread from southern Michigan and northern Ohio eastward to near the I-95 corridor, including the New York area,” the chain warns. “Scattered rains and a few storms are possible in the coastal Carolinas to Maryland and New Jersey.”
He adds that the rain will also linger in Boston, where snow may even fall.
“Sunday night snow will persist from the northern and central Appalachians to much of New England,” he said.
