Kochi: The moment the Malays of the world have been waiting for has arrived. 10 characters that Malayali will never forget have been announced in the Malayalam cinema journey which is approaching a century. Lakhs of people voted in the ‘Never Forget’ global digital event organized by Madhyam.com. The 10 characters who got more votes out of these were announced today in Kochi.
Directors CB Malail, Siddique, Siddharth Bharathan, Jio Baby, Tarun Murthy, dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi, Lohitadas’ son Vijayashankar Lohitadas and Pathamaraja’s son Ananthapadmanabhan were present.
Maiji BDM Marshall, Abhilash Media Manager WillyWhite Toothpaste, St. Paul’s Ayurveda Chief Consultant Dr. Ashwati P. H was honored on the stage.
In the first phase, prominent people in the socio-cultural and political fields have selected around 500 favorite characters from more than 10,000 characters. Later, more than 100,000 people cast their votes for their favorite characters in a digital poll that had never seen a Malayalam movie till then. From over 500 favorite characters, the list was narrowed down to the 60 characters who received the most votes in the first phase and 25 in the second phase. The 10 characters who got more votes out of 25 characters in the finale’s Thee Param fight.
