Ten percent of Flemish people find it difficult to make ends meet, 15 percent cannot afford a holiday

With regard to subjective poverty, the differences between men and women and between different ages were limited. Mainly unemployed (37 percent of the population in subjective poverty), inactive people excluding retirees (21 percent), members of single-parent families (25 percent), single people (20 percent), renters (27 percent) and also the low-skilled (17 percent) experienced a higher subjective poverty in the Flemish Region in 2020.
