Ten nurses from Uden hospital are pregnant: ‘Fat belly parade’ | Inland

In the Facebook post, the ‘fat belly parade’ is announced with a group photo of the pregnant nurses. It is a special picture, especially when you consider that nurses usually help pregnant women themselves. But now it’s the other way around.

The first employee already gave birth last week, according to the post. She is therefore not in the photo. The tenth is also missing.

“We have not planned it together,” nurse Loes van Asseldonk told Omroep Brabant. She is also pregnant and will give birth in March. The women find it funny that they are all expecting a child at the same time. They jokingly call the department ‘the chubby bellies of B4-west’.

The pregnancies do not cause any problems in the department, Van Asseldonk tells the local broadcaster. The baby boom is expected to come in February. During that period there are fewer patients. “And we have lovely colleagues who have said that they can work extra hours. So we’re going to solve it together, so we can all enjoy ourselves.”
