Ten Hag has a lot of homework at Man United

Jakarta

Erik ten Hag is said to have a lot of homework to be completed on Manchester United. That’s what the Interim manager of the Red Devils said, Ralph Rangnick.

Ten Hag has been appointed as the new manager of Manchester United in the middle of this week. He was brought in from Ajax on a three-year contract with an option for a one-year extension.

After showing the Ten Hag, Manchester United actually massacred Arsenal. When competing at the Emirates Stadium, Saturday (23/4/2022) night WIB, MU lost 1-3 to the Gunners.

With these results, MU increasingly difficult to finish in the top four. MU has now collected 54 points from 34 matches. MU’s collection of numbers is six points away from Arsenal in fourth position, but the Gunners have only played 32 times.

Ranknick, who has been appointed since December 2021, clearly knows the outside of United’s condition. Therefore, he told Ten Hag there was a lot of work to be done.

One of the biggest homework assignments is the back line. MU’s defense is porous, having conceded 51 times in 34 matches.

MU’s nick is the most among the top six teams. David De Gea has only kept seven clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

“Obviously there will be a lot of work to be done. We knew that before the game started. We showed what football can be,” said Ranknick from BBC.

“Even though we had to deal with two quick goals, we still showed a positive attitude. There was no attitude from the players that we can blame in today’s match,” he added.
