Erik ten Hag and Arne Slot are facing their first showdown as managers of Manchester United and Liverpool. The two clubs will play each other in the United States on Saturday night.
Ten Hag is in his third season as manager of Manchester United, while Slot was appointed at Liverpool this summer. Saturday night’s friendly is especially important for Ten Hag, as it is the last friendly before the season opener against Manchester City in the battle for the Community Shield (next Saturday).

The practice match between the teams of Ten Hag and Slot starts on Saturday night at 01.45 am. However, due to thunderstorms, the starting time could be delayed. The match will be played at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, in the United States.
What are the lineups?
Ten Hag will be without Leny Yoro and Rasmus Højlund, who will be out for three months and six weeks respectively with injuries. Marcus Rashford and Antony were injured in the previous friendly against Real Betis (3-2 win), but Rashford has a starting place and Antony can sit on the bench. Lisandro Martínez, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw have not travelled to the United States.
At Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch and Ibrahima Konaté have joined the squad and they will play a maximum of 45 minutes, Slot has already announced. Liverpool will not be able to count on Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Darwin Núñez and Alexis Mac Allister, who have not yet returned from vacation. Andy Robertson is, however, on the sidelines with an injury.
