Five teachers and five students tested positive for the English variant of Covid-19 at the Balzac school, in Montluçon (Allier). This Monday, March 15, 70% of the children did not come to school as a precaution.
An email to parents on Friday evening
The services of National Education had indeed sent an email to all parents to warn them of the contamination of the five teachers.
We learned that the students were positive only last night (Sunday night Editor’s note). It is assumed that parents must have had their children tested this weekend after learning of the contamination from teachers.

A class of the school of Loriges (Allier) closed after the detection of a case of Covid-19
The school always open and no closed class
The Balzac school nevertheless remains open and no class is closed, because there are less than three cases per class. “We have three classes with two cases and in the other cases, there is only one person concerned.”
To ensure pedagogical follow-up, the National Education sent two substitute teachers to the Balzac school. The town hall of Montluçon has set up daycare services with municipal agents to continue to welcome children.
For the moment, we have changed the organization of the Bœuf Villé festivities which take place this week in the schools, but we are extremely attentive.
