About ten cars collided with each other on the A9 near Velsen-Zuid tonight, the police reported. One person was injured and taken to hospital.
The accident was caused by slipperiness after a hailstorm. After the collision, the A9 from Alkmaar to Amsterdam was closed for some time.
The emergency lane was cleared for traffic that was stuck behind the accident, reports NH News. In the tail of the traffic jam behind the accident, a number of cars also collided. They only had lightning damage.
